We currently have exciting, flexible opportunities for Class 2 Day Drivers (or Cat C Day Drivers as we call it internally) to join our growing depot team. Full-time and part-time shifts are available.

What We Can Offer You

£12.51 per hour (£11.01 £1.50 location allowance ), overtime paid at £14.64 per hour (paid after average 40 hours per week) to £14.64 per hour for a 6th shift

What You’ll Do

The job isn’t always easy. At times, you’ll have to deal with up to 40,000 parcels. But you’ll be given space to get the work done, thinking quickly to hit moving targets.

Our drivers ensure the safe, efficient driving of vehicles from depots to other sites in the Hermes network. You’ll ensure parcels are delivered, paperwork updated and assist depot staff with heavier items from time to time. We know the great British roads and weather don’t always play nicely, so you’ll need to keep us updated with any problems. We can then help find an alternative route.

Our Class 2 day drivers work on shifts. Full-time contracts are 40 hours per week with some weekend working on a rota basis; we’ll normally let you know your rota at least 4 weeks in advance. Flexible and part-time hours are also available.

Essential Skills & Experience Required

• You’ll need a full UK driving licence with Class 2 (Cat C) entitlements, drivers CPC and digital tachograph. Newly-qualified drivers are welcome, however all drivers will need to undertake a short driving assessment.
