Annual Leave: 25 days plus 10 days bank holiday (pro-rata for term-time/part-time)

We are now looking to appoint a Head of Clinical and AHP to join our team, based at the college. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Deputy Director for Care, Clinical and Assessments will provide direction and strong, professional leadership to our clinical and allied health professionals (AHPs) on site.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and develop the clinical and therapy provision at Henshaws College ensuring the complex nature of the service is always safe and effective.
  • Oversee a comprehensive, innovative, and dynamic multi-disciplinary therapy service to meet the needs of students.
  • Ensure that students are receiving the appropriate level of intervention and therapy treatments for people with a range of complex needs, including but not limited to; physical disabilities, sensory impairment, learning difficulties, autism and profound multiple learning difficulties (PMLD)
  • To uphold Henshaws values of Informed, Sharing, Proactive, Inspiring, Compassionate and Empowering.

The successful candidate will be a registered nurse with a current NMC PIN number, they will be an experienced team manager with experience in leading a clinical service and being held accountable for its delivery. Understanding of the Essential Standards of Quality and Safety/CQC is essential as is experience of leading on quality assurance to ensure that the service is operating according to all relevant policy, strategy or regulation.
