Job OverviewAre you a practical person who can prioritise a sterile environment and ensure our patients are moved safely to where they need to be? Are you highly organised and personable? Does the idea of assisting trained Practitioners and Anaesthetists interest you?If so, our Theatre department may be the place for you.You will be assisting our dedicated and supportive team to ensure that our Theatres are running at their optimum levels and that our patients are exactly where they need to be, whilst maintaining a highly sterile environment.In return for your had work and dedication to our department, we can offer you:

Main duties of the jobSome of the main duties of your role would be:
  • Collect patients from wards and escort to theatre
  • Assist the trained practitioner in carrying out any necessary procedures or act as a chaperone when required
  • Assist with emergency treatment in the event of cardiac arrest
  • Assist the Anaesthetist with simple tasks whilst preparing patient for anaesthesia (e.g. applying blood pressure cuff and pulse oximeter)
