If so we are recruiting for Health Care Assistants in Theatres at Princess Anne Hospital.About The TeamWe have 4 theatres covering Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Breast and Endocrine, we also cover a small amount of Colorectal surgery.Princess Anne theatres run a 24 / 7, 365 days a year service, with a fully flexible approach to shifts including early and late shifts, nights, and weekends. It is essential to be able to to cover this service (shift timings to be discussed at interview).The team underwent a CAS review and was awarded Good in all areas.   • You will be working alongside and supporting the whole of the multidisciplinary team.
  • You will escort patients and support them whilst in the anaesthetic room / theatre.
  • You will help to set up theatres ready for the operating day, then stock up and clean at the end of the day.
  • Attend Statutory and Mandatory training both online and face to face.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • Keen and willing to learn.
  • Past experience in a health care setting would be an advantage

  • Completed care certificate or ability to complete within 6 months of appointment.

  • BTEC level 2 or above in health and social care. Interested in undertaking further training.

  • Previous experience in: Acute hospital setting, HCA experience, volunteer sector, teaching assistant, nursing home, experience in a caring role
