An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to join our CQC rated ’Outstanding’ Trust, within our Urgent Care Service.

Based at West Berkshire Community Hospital, you will be working in a passionate integrated team operating in partnership with the Practitioners in both the Minor Injuries Unit (MIU), Out of Hours GPs and other multidisciplinary teams within Berkshire Healthcare.

As a healthcare assistant, you will be working within both the MIU and Out of Hours Service booking patients in and carrying out basic triaging of patients, carrying out observations and treating wounds with the support of the practitioners.

Would suit applicants wanting to work part time hours with the opportunity of extra hours. The applicant will be required to work 2 weekends a month in addition to some weekday working.

Shift Patterns Available Are

Week 1 & 3 - 16:00hrs-midnight Saturday and Sunday

Week 2- 16:00hrs-midnight Saturday, Sunday 12:00hrs-20:00hrs

Week 4- either 08:00hrs-16:00hrs Saturday or 16:00hrs-midnight Saturday. Sunday 12:00hrs-20:00hrs

Week 1 & 3- 16:00hrs-23.30hrs Mondays

Week 2 & 4- 16:00hrs-23:30 hrs Tuesdays & Fridays Our service is open 7 days a week 365 days a year from 08:00hrs until midnight.

Free parking is available on-site for our staff.
