Location: Corby, NorthamptonshireSalary: Circa 50k - 60kA local chemical manufacturing company are now looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join their team.Health And Safety Manager - Overview
  • Review and update the company’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Manage the companies COSHH Register.
  • Actively work with the business to change and improve the companies HSE Culture by utilising a positive and engaging behavioral safety program.
  • Liaise with external agencies such as Local Authorities, HSE and the EA.
  • Ensure that the correct PPE is being used and worn correctly.
  • Undertake accident investigations.
  • Provide HSE Training and Inductions.
  • Manage & maintain the companies ISO 9001 Accreditation
Health And Safety Manager - Job RequirementsThe ideal candidate must come from the manufacturing industry as a Health and Safety Manager. You will also have the following skills, qualifications and experience:
  • Hold a NEBOSH Diploma, NCRQ or NVQ L5 in Occupational Health and Safety or Equivalent.
  • Ideally be a member or IOSH and working towards CMIOSH.
  • Have experience of managing ISO 9001, Ideally have an auditing qualification but not essential.
  • Experience working with Chemicals and strong understanding of COSHH. ATEX or DSEAR experience would also be beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience of creating strong, positive HSE cultures.
  • Have a pro-active and hands on approach to Health and Safety.
