Role Overview:
Genus’ Global IT Training team is growing and we are introducing an exciting new role to lead and deliver the training strategy for Technology enabled change programmes.We are looking for an experienced Head of Training Manager to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis with an immediate start. The role offers the opportunity to work from anywhere in UK, connecting virtually with teams across the globe, with some travel to UK based sites as required and global locations.

The Head of Training – IT Change will work within the Business Change team, to lead and deliver the Training strategy for IT enabled Business Change initiatives, in particular the global rollout of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP system, as well as raising IT capability and literacy across Genus. In this role you will report to the Director of Business Change and work closely with business stakeholders, Project Managers, Product Owners, and the Learning and Development teams across Genus to identify training needs and develop effective training to ensure Genus colleagues can confidently adoption new systems, process and ways of working.

As IT Head of Training you will manage a team of specialist trainers, as well as working with business SMEs to deliver an effective learning experience for colleagues across the world, utilising a wide range of fit-for-purpose, innovative approaches to training and ongoing learning and support. There is a great opportunity to introduce new approaches and you will utilise data, KPIs and feedback to continually improve the training approach and demonstrate successful outcomes. As part of the training strategy, the role will develop a sustainable model for supporting both large scale implementation change programmes and the ongoing continuous improvement initiatives including regular functionality releases.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Create and deliver the Training strategy for all Technology enabled business change programmes, in particular the GenusOne rollout, as well as business-as-usual (BAU) IT initiatives
  • Understand the change in terms of new systems, processes and organisation design and conduct training needs and capability/skills analysis as a basis for developing the training approach and plans
  • Collaborate with the Change Team to plan and delivery, to create training plans that are aligned and integrated into the overall change plan for each initiative. Ensure the delivery and management of training plans on time, managing resources across the team and business to deliver
  • Lead on the strategy and delivery of a range of learning/training methods and solutions fit for the wide ranging profile of Genus business and operations
  • Utilise technology and partnerships where there is value
  • Develop, build and lead the training delivery team, creating a balance of central training resource and embedded business resource ensuring high quality, credible delivery and learning experiences at every touchpoint
  • Ensure training KPIs and measures are in place which align with required business outcomes and demonstrate the effectiveness of training activity.
  • Liaise with global HR/L&D teams and influence alignment and best practice
  • Ensure a sustainable and scalable approach to ongoing learning is embedded in Genus, working with Product teams, the business and Learning and Development (L&D) teams to agree a model
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in leading the training strategy within a large scale, global technology change programme
  • Proven experience of managing central and business embedded change resource
  • Proven experience in harnessing a range of training approaching including digital and face-to-face channels
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering successful change/training outcomes
  • Project planning and management skills
  • Ability to travel as and when required to accommodate the needs of the global business
