Head of Sales

Lightning Fibre is a rapidly expanding Full Fibre Broadband Network Operator and Internet Service Provider. Our mission is to be “the ISP of choice for the South East”.

We are passionate about exceptional customer care. We have ambitious sales targets.

We need a talented, people-focussed Head of Sales with tele-sales and field sales experience to manage our B2C sales representatives. You will be managing office-based teams as well as remote workers.

You will take a hands-on role in contributing to our profitability and success.

You will be calm, consistent, confident, fair and tenacious. You will bring out the best in all your staff members, with a focus on development and quality.

Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director, you will be supported by a Sales Team Manager (tele-sales) and a Community Engagement Manager (field sales).

Responsibilities:

  • Staff recruitment and onboarding;
  • Continuous training and development of all sales staff;
  • Working with Managers and Team Leaders to ensure the highest quality of sale procedures are followed;
  • Conveying sales targets and ensuring our targets are met;
  • Supervising staff to ensure that they perform the correct tasks to prescribed standards;
  • You’ll work Cross-departmentally to gather and disperse information, and influence decisions and priorities to maximise our customer growth;
  • Monitoring random negotiations to discern whether employees are adopting effective sales techniques;
  • Using insights derived from performance reviews and market research to enhance our campaigns;
  • Creating in-depth Management Reports on a weekly and monthly basis;
  • Supporting the Sales and Marketing Director with overall strategy and market intelligence;
  • Attending Networking events, Conferences and Trade shows as appropriate;
  • Identifying appropriate Events and Outdoor sites for lead generation / Outdoor sales team;
  • Managing Commission Programme;
  • Ensure that technology is utilized to a maximum and that staff are well-organized and productive;
  • Quality Assurance.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Call Centre Manager, and/or Field Sales Manager;
  • Valid driver’s licence;
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills;
  • Analytically-minded and comfortable with reporting, KPIs and CRM/IT Systems;
  • Cautiously optimistic, personable, and resolute;
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills;
  • An arsenal of brilliant sales techniques that you are eager to share.

Desirable:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a pertinent business-related field.
