Starting in Since 2014, we have established our Smart Test as the leading Automated Testing Solution for Workday. We have recently launched a Smart Audit for Workday and have several other new Products about to launch. This is a really exciting time for everyone, and this success has meant we need to scale our presales operation to meet demand for our current and new product lines as they come to market.

Our Presales team is a strategic partner to the sales organisation and responsible for building a compelling vision of Kainos product solutions for our customers and prospects in some of the largest organisations in the world.

We are looking for a Senior Presales Manager to establish, lead and grow a team of Presales Solution Consultants. You and your team will work closely with the Account Executives and Regional Sales VPs to qualify prospective customers for Kainos. You will also work with Sales to build pipeline and support demand generation activities, with shared responsibility for meeting and exceeding new business growth targets.

As a Head of Product Presales in Kainos, you will be responsible for delivering the strategy for Product Presales and responsible for building a compelling vision of Kainos product solutions for our customers and prospects in some of the largest organisations in the world. You will continually seek innovative ways to improve team productivity, enhancement of collateral and procurement success rates.

You will operate in a sales-focused role, requiring a combination of management, analytical skills, authoring skills, industry knowledge and a detailed understanding of the Kainos product suite and associated services.

You will be working collaboratively with other members of the Product Management and Business Development team as well as colleagues from other areas of the business including commercial, marketing and Product Development.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
  • Developing Kainos as a business – you will lead a team to manage a pipeline of opportunities which will enable you to forecast accurately across future quarters, achieve agreed sales targets and maintaining predictability of future revenue.
  • Presales Leadership – The delivery and/or overseeing the delivery of relevant technical product presentations, demonstrations, workshops and seminars.
  • Managing Pre-sales team – you will motivate and inspire a Presales team – leading by example and challenging them to continue to improve and take on more responsibility, with the goal to respond accurately and on time.
  • Providing Bid Production Innovation – you will be expected to be innovative around the following areas:
    • Responses to request for information (RFI) & request for proposal (RFP)
    • Security Questionnaires
    • Product Demonstrations
  • Supporting the BU strategic objective to up-skill delivery staff in sales related activities – you will be expected to develop Presales strategy across the wider company to continuously develop Presales awareness, onboarding and bid mentoring/coaching.
  • Continuous Improvement – you will seek to understand reasons for winning/losing bid and disseminate lessons learned to key stakeholders with a view to continuously improving processes, content and proposals.
  • Building and developing strategic partnerships – You excel in in senior stakeholder management with experience of refining proposals to achieve the expected outcome for Kainos.
  • Working as part of a team - complex proposals require leading and leveraging a wide multi-disciplinary team. You will also work closely with colleagues from other business units as well as industry partners to ensure that proposal evaluations are maximised.
  • Putting people first & developing others – You’ll manage, coach and develop a small number of staff, with a focus on managing employee performance and assisting in their career development.
Minimum (essential) Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in a sales-related role (presales, sales consulting, sales, customer success, etc.) selling enterprise software
  • Commercial awareness with a demonstrated record of delivering results in a customer centric environment
  • Demonstrated people management experience to include leading and coaching people in your team and wider community on sales opportunity strategy
Desirable
  • Broad technology experience and a sound awareness of technology trends and their potential impact on current & future projects
  • Ability to operate in a highly competitive and pressurised environment, making sensible decisions that don’t compromise Kainos
  • An appreciation and knowledge of technology delivery, agile methodologies, etc
  • SaaS delivery methodologies and models.
