The Role

The role of Head of Logistics Planning reports into Supply Chain Director.

Key interface for internal and external operational functions to satisfy packaging, logistics and cost challenges. Main responsibilities include developing an innovative, agile, and viable End to End Supply Chain that supports BV ambition to contribute to a zero-carbon society, delivering both competitive advantage and added value to our customers.

The Core Duties And Responsibilities
  • Responsible for building the strategic delivery model to satisfy current and future operations
  • Develop 3rd party partnerships for internal logistic solutions
  • Responsible for directing, training and workforce management for the logistics department
  • Develop and control budget in line with Business plan requirements
  • Develop, introduce, and organise effective and efficient operating solutions for product flow
  • Control and operate inventory management processes assuring on time product to downstream customers
  • Responsible for analysis of operating practices to achieve best in class solutions

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Extensive knowledge of logistic solutions
  • Expert knowledge of technical regulations -dangerous goods etc.
  • Effective negotiating skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong IT systems knowledge including ERP, BOM, data management.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
  • Strategic thinker and able to implement new processes and systems
