Britishvolt is seeking a Project Assembly Manager familiar with start-up projects in delivering this state of the art Production facilities. The role will be initially working from home, after that to be agreed. Frequent travel to West Midlands/ Warwickshire, North East and other travel as required.

JOB STATEMENT

You will join us at a very exciting stage of Britishvolt’s journey as part of the Projects Team.

We are in the process of delivering a benchmark manufacturing plant in Blyth, Northumberland.

You will support the Head of Project Production in the building, planning and the delivery of the Production department. You will also be instrumental in designing and the implementation of the Production processes onsite.

Simply put, our mission is to handover buildings, facilities, Production processes/documentation and equipment to the Plant Operations Team and have in place a robust Production operating system allowing us to collaboratively execute a flawless battery production launch.

MAIN JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Planning and organising Production schedules, developing hiring plan to meet the needs of business from commissioning plans to SOP.

· Assessing Project and resource requirements.

· Estimating, negotiating and agreeing budgets and timescales with clients and managers.

· Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met, working with safety team to develop Production safety protocols and build a safety culture mind set.

· Working with Project Quality Manager determining Production quality control standards and control plans.

· Deliver Production processes and oversea (Production Audit system/TPM/PPM/Training Model).

· Support BVOS (Britishvolt operating system).

· Re-negotiating timescales or schedules as necessary.

· Selecting, ordering and purchasing Production materials (Auxiliary equipment and other).

· Working with the Reliability Manager to organising the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment.

· Supervising and managing the people.

· Working with the Plant operations team recruit the Plant production team.

· Develop and deliver a high skilled core Production team.

· Creation of a Battery training model

· Develop internal auditing system which can be utilised across multiple plants globally and is in line with both internal and external auditing systems.

Other Position Requirements

  • Ideally candidates will be degree qualified or working towards a similar formal qualification.
  • Confident well organised Manager with good interpersonal skill.
  • Track record in Project management.
  • Exceptional teamwork and communication skills.
  • Technical problem solving.
  • Battery Manufacturing experience.
  • Battery Operating Systems.
  • Exposure to working in new start-up projects in Production and Manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrable experience in launching new products.

· Experience of managing large teams launching new facilities or Products.

  • Project management skills delivering projects in a complex environment.
  • Strong networking, communication, influencing, negotiation & stakeholder management skills.
  • Be an Ambassador for the BV Culture and its ESG commitments.

Internal/External Interfaces:

  • All internal departments; particularly Procurement, Quality, Product & Process Engineering, Assembly and Plant Operations.
  • All external service providers/suppliers (LLP and Facility Management, IT)
  • Advise ESG team of (in house) initiatives to further strengthen brand
