The Key Duties Of This Role Include

Our client operates a robust operation, and has a Head of HR opportunity available on a permanent, full-time basis. As the Head of HR, you will report to the MD and manage all aspects of generalist HR on an operational and strategic basis. As the Head of HR, you will be rewarded with a competitive salary of up to 55k, 25 days holiday, company pension, and private healthcare for you and your family. This full-time role requires a qualified individual who enjoys working closely with management teams at an operational level.
  • Developing and implementing a People Strategy in line with the business strategic plan including responsibility for employee relations, talent management, learning & development, and employee engagement.
  • Working with the senior management team to support both strategic and tactical delivery of HR actions including implementation of effective policies and procedures to support the business, workforce planning, organizational design and developmening high-performing teams.
  • Driving talent recruitment, retention, and development at all levels of the business including development plans for clear career progression for high potentials to ensure talent is retained in the business.
  • Designing, implementing, and managing a world-class apprenticeship programme to create an ongoing pipeline of talent.
  • Managing the company’s reward strategy.
  • Providing accurate and timely HR information and reports to enable the business to make effective decisions.
  • Leading the employee engagement and internal communications activity across the site.
  • Developing the HR organisation to support delivery of objectives and performance management schemes; drive high levels of accountability, ensuring strong performance management, skills development, workplace culture and succession planning across the business.
  • Coaching people managers on communication, talent management and development, team building and performance management.
  • Any other tasks and duties as reasonably required in accordance with the needs of the business
  • Management and development of HR Assistant
To be considered for this position you will have a track record of success and resilience in demanding and fast paced private sector businesses an excellent understanding of employment law and an ability to build relationships quickly. Essentially you will be an experienced HR professional with commercial acumen, its desirable that you have experience of TUPE process and experience in leading on cultural change.

Our clients business is not unionized but experience within an industry such as engineering or manufacturing or transport would be advantageous. Ideally you will be qualified CIPD level 5 at least or CIPD Level 7 or have considerable experience. If you have experience in at least 80% of the duties listed above we would welcome your application.
