A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Hard FM Performance and Quality Manager to join our team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust at a time when we are strengthening our PFI Contract Management function.

Reporting to the PFI Contract Compliance Manager, the post-holder is a key member of the leadership team in the PFI Contract Management department, with responsibility for the contractual performance, compliance and quality assurance of the Trusts Hard FM services covering 3 separate contracts at The John Radcliffe and Churchill Hospitals and the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford. The successful candidate will undertake contract management responsibilities for the Trust to ensure an efficient and compliant Hard FM service delivery is maintained under the PFI contracts, including the support of the various lifecycle schemes that will be running alongside the normal Hard FM activities.

The successful candidate will further develop procedures to ensure an effective, efficient and value for money provision is maintained by the PFI service partners, and supports the Trusts’ wider strategic goals across all areas, including the environment and sustainability.

The post holder will work collaboratively to develop and maintain working relationships/partnerships with the various PFI contracting parties, the Trusts patient experience team and other colleagues to ensure the patient experience is at the heart of everything we undertake.

We are looking for a highly skilled individual with extensive and specialised knowledge of engineering systems found in a Hospital environment. Additionally the post holder is expected to have extensive knowledge and understanding of Hard FM delivery and quality assurance in a large and complex environment, across multiple locations, preferably under a PFI contract arrangement. The successful candidate will be a highly effective individual who can develop and deliver long-term service plans, is able to work within a highly pressurised and at times, reactive environment and have a proven track record of achieving high quality services to rigorous obligations and NHS/industry standards.

The Trust is looking for a ‘can do’ person who thrives in an operational environment of compliance, performance and assurance, supporting new ways of working and bringing fresh ideas to the role with a constant focus on safety and improving the overall patient experience.
