Hutcheon Mearns are recruiting for a Head of Finance to join a global manufacturing business based in Kirkcaldy. This is a key role in a global manufacturing business with a rich history and diverse client base. This organisation has multiple sites across the UK and internationally and is renowned for product quality and staff tenure.

The role:

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will manage a team of 6 across Accounts Payable, Treasury, Payroll and tax reporting. You will manage the financial reporting cycle for a number of UK entities and will be responsible for the cash management of a business with over £100million turnover. You will prepare the month-end reports and KPI’s and act as a business partner for department heads and will prepare budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis.

Responsibilities will also include;

  • Co-ordination of UK year end processes and liaising with auditors
  • Efficiently managing liquidity and liaising with Corporate Treasury to optimise cash balances
  • Cash forecasting with variance analysis
  • Initiating efficiency improvements and correct control weaknesses
  • Perform Process Owner role for Purchase to Pay process in SAP

The candidate:

The successful candidate will ideally be a Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACMA/CA) with experience of managing a team in a fast-paced organisation. You will have strong IT skills and experience using ERP systems such as SAP. Strong leadership skills and an ability to manage and motivate a team, are essential attributes in this role.
