Working with key stakeholders across our business teams, you will have the opportunity to help define and implement a programme management service that supports delivery of some of the agency’s highest profile housing and land investment funds.

Job Description

Working in the Operational Management function of the Delivery Enabling Services team, the Head of Investment Services will support the Chief Officer, Directors, Senior Responsible Officers and budget holders in the Investment Directorate to ensure the Agency’s objectives are met. The role will be central to enabling senior officers and colleagues in the Investment team to ensure that government targets are achieved, delivery is compliant with corporate and programme funding requirements and individual programme objectives are met.

At a project and programme level your work will focus on providing first-class customer service to proactively track performance, identify risks and issues and implement mitigating actions to ensure strategic objectives are met. From your unique position of oversight across the investment programmes, you will have the opportunity to introduce new and innovative approaches to embed continuous improvement at an operational and strategic level. You will be supported by a high performing team who will work with you in a fast-paced, collaborative environment to ensure timely, accurate and high-quality programme management and reporting across our function.

Responsibilities

Whilst our day job is to deliver first class customer service to our stakeholders, you will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and will always be looking for ways to improve and innovate.

You’ll be comfortable supporting senior staff at Chief Officer and Director levels and will have excellent communication skills to clearly and accurately articulate complex information to different target audiences. You will be proficient in leading and managing high performing teams responsible for delivering financial and performance management services and will have experience of leading a programme management function in a similar sector.

Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial, strategic and operational impacts of what we do as an agency.

As an experienced professional, with a relevant professional qualification or equivalent programme management experience, you will be comfortable working with complex data and information to draw out key programme and performance metrics using a range of data management tools. You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade. You will understand how to manage colleagues and be able to demonstrate you can work with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.
