E&K Unisex Hair Salon is an ambitious hair salon in Paisley. We’re now hiring a Women’s only Hair Stylist to help us keep growing. We are seeking a hard-working, honest and reliable individual who has great communication skills and can build great relationships with customers. You must have your own existing customer base!

Individual must have own transport or reliable in commuting to the salon and be punctual and on time. Hair stylists from Paisley and surrounding areas preferred, but other areas will be considered.

Responsibilities for Hair Stylist

  • Excellent customer service skills with ability to communicate well with clientele
  • Consulting with clientele about their preferences in their hair styling and needs
  • Ability to develop your own clientele through social media and customer referrals
  • Demonstrate consistent telephone etiquette
  • Keep your station clean and sanitary
  • Assist in upselling salon products and services
  • Safe use of equipment and chemicals
  • Assist with tidying up the salon, laundry and linens as needed

Qualifications for Hair Stylist

  • 3+ years of experience as a hairstylist (Essential)
  • NVQ Level 2 or above hairdressing/styling qualication (Preferred, but not essential)
  • Experience in all aspects of women’s hairdressing; cutting, styling, colouring, dyeing and perming (Essential)
  • Existing customer list/base (Essential)
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with customers
  • Reliable & honest and willing to work hard to make the salon a success (Essential)
  • Greet customers entering the salon and ensure customers feel comfortable (Essential)
