Sustainability expert required for Multi-site food manufacturer.

This is a home-based role that will require site visits from time to time. This will probably suit someone who is based in England due to the site locations.

The Role

Reporting into the Technical Director, you will work with the senior leadership teams to advise and provide expertise in implementing a comprehensive Corporate Social Responsibility program to drive positive workplace, community, economic and environmental impact.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a strategy and implementation plan to achieve B Corp accreditation and reduced environmental impact, aligned to the Green House Gas Corporate Standard, scope 1,2 and 3 , identifying reduction opportunities, set reduction targets, manage and track performance .
  • Ensure that the business remains legally compliant and fulfils all obligations by developing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, representing the business on relevant industry bodies and institutions.
  • Effective communication and engagement, working with colleagues at all levels to foster participation and collaboration in change initiatives and campaigns.
  • Establish appropriate governance and a framework for performance measurement, KPI reporting and continuous improvement.
Skills / Experience
  • Should have worked in a similar role within Food Manufacturing or FMCG business
  • A relevant degree would be preferable
  • Good project management skills
  • Excellent communicator
  • A real passion for change and environmental protection
