Group Financial Controller | £55,000 - £65,000 | East Lancashire | PE Backed | Exciting High Growth SME

Axon Moore is exclusively recruiting for a Group Financial Controller for a high growth PE backed SME in East Lancashire who has experienced sustained growth and have aspirational plans for the next few years.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and ambitious candidate to take on a Group Financial Controller position under guidance from an extremely high calibre, commercial CFO, high-profile non-executives and advisors. This role will lead a finance team that is integral to the business in driving performance and being the main catalyst for change.

The Successful Group Financial Controller Can Expect To
  • Report into the operational board and CFO taking full ownership for the finance function.
  • Lead a small but dynamic team of accountants overseeing the end-to-end production of financial and management accounts
  • Overseeing all company financial entities, including UK and international subsidiaries
  • Managing the annual group audit and corporate tax submissions
  • Have full autonomy for the development of processes, controls and systems
  • Providing astute and timely analysis to support commercial decision making
  • Managing cashflow and treasury
  • Manage senior stakeholder relationships both internally and externally
  • Being the point of contact with the bank
  • Supporting M&A activity
  • Assisting the CFO in presenting reports to senior executives and investors
The successful applicant will be an ambitious individual looking for strong career progression. They’ll need to have the self-motivation and gravitas to lead in the above role headlines, and they’ll need to hold relevant qualifications (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) and experience.
