Agile Software Technologist Graduate

Over 18 months we’ll help you develop from a new graduate to a trusted digital partner for our customers. That doesn’t happen without some of the most innovative and immersive training in the industry backed up by hands-on experience.

We make this happen because we are a global organisation that:

  • Invests in the future of our people, our communities and the environment (we lead in decarbonisation).
  • Meet the costs of your learning, examinations and professional memberships – as well as additional study leave.
  • Values and actively encourages diversity.

Provides a graduate network to support your journey

What you’ll be doing

Looking for a role to put you at the heart of cutting-edge solutions?

As a graduate software technologist you will be:

  • Using cutting-edge engineering techniques to design, build, test and support modern intuitive applications that are vital to running the country and global businesses.
  • Enabling customers to innovate and take advantage of the digital landscape to ensure that their businesses thrive as technology advances.
  • Undertaking comprehensive technical training on Agile, DevOps, business analysis, software development, testing and cloud.
  • Enriching your skills across the application lifecycle. You could be studying for:
  • Cloud, Service Management, Project Management or Agile qualifications,
  • BCS Certificates in Modelling Business Processes and Business Analysis,
  • Salesforce, Pega or low-code certification.

Essential Skills

This is an intellectually stimulating opportunity that will help you learn how cutting-edge technology is used in business. We want you to share our passion to design the future of the information space and contribute to the development of scientific and technological excellence. A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths is useful but not essential as we’ll provide an initial 8-12 weeks of dedicated technical training when you join, followed by ongoing training for the 18 months of the Graduate Programme.

Regardless of your academic qualifications, the key strengths we need from you are:

· Technical aptitude and interest in software engineering

· Inquisitive mindset and an ability to learn fast

· Initiative and a willingness to reach out across the organisation to achieve results

· Out-of-the-box thinking to solve problems in innovative ways

· Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – to clearly explain technical issues to non-technical audiences

· Confidence presenting to stakeholders at all levels

· Strong interpersonal skills to work within teams, liaise with clients and get things done

· Ability to win trust and build relationships

· Good organisational skills and attention to detail

· Motivation to progress within our company
