Infrastructure Support Engineer

£37-48K +superb benefits including 25 days holiday, private medical, private accident insurance, and Share scheme from time to time plus plus.

Location: BoltonorStevenagemostly in office (4-5 days/week)

All Applicants must have lived in the UK for atleast 5 years as SC clearance eligibility is an essential requirement.

Support to be provided on-site from 07h00 to 19h00, Monday to Friday, and successful candidates will be added to an established rota. Overtime will be required and compensated accordingly.

Main skills needed (looking for a windows infrastructure person)

• Expert knowledge and experience of Windows operating systems – 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2019
• In-depth knowledge and experience of virtualisation infrastructure - VMware ESX, Hyper V, NSX including storage and networks
• Highly proficient in System Center Suite - SCCM, SCOM
• Proficient using Active Directory
• Ability to automate tasks using Powershell and Ansible
• Knowledge and experience of anti-virus software – McAfee
• A strong analytical troubleshooting approach

What will you do?

• Daily monitoring and maintenance of client infrastructure, systems and associated software
• Incident and request management
• Windows Server administration to include AD, RSAT, ADFS, VMware vSphere, GPO
• Install and test operating software and associated products in conjunction with application providers
• Opportunity to work on Infrastructure projects to upgrade, shape and enhance the IT landscape

• Full ownership of assignments and tasks through to completion or resolution
• SC clearance preferred but if not in place must be willing to undertake SC with potential to go to DV clearance

Nice to have:

• Experience working with third party stakeholders and suppliers
• Experience operating a test environment or working in project teams, both as member and leading
• Ability to contribute to the definition and structuring of projects
• ITIL Foundation (change, incident, availability management)
