Outpatients | Sutton Coldfield | Part time 20 hours per week - Excellent benefits

We have an exciting opportunity for an Outpatient Receptionist/Administrator to support our Private GP service and Oncology unit to join the team at Spire Little Aston Hospital on the outskirts of Sutton Coldfield. This position is 20 hours per week on a contracted permanent basis, and to provide an efficient reception and administrative service working with established policies and processes. These hours would be on a rota basis and would include evening and Saturday working.

You will ensure an exemplary level of Customer Service that is Customer focused, professional, effective and exceeds the expectations of our Patients, Consultants and Visitors to the hospital.

The hospital has an exceptional reputation within a variety of specialties including Orthopaedics, Sports & Exercise Medicine, Cosmetics, Ophthalmic, Gynaecology, General Surgery & Physiotherapy.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • To greet and provide a Customer focused, Professional and effective Service that exceeds expectations to all Patients, Consultants and Visitors to the hospital
  • Receive, maintain and update patients records on the system SAP and if required liaise with internal departments
  • To prepare all relevant paperwork for Patients prior to admission to the hospital
  • Register all new or follow up Patients, whether for procedures, Outpatients consultations or Pre-Op assessments
  • Provide and receive Patient information, ensuring that all information is provided, received and recorded in accordance with the Data Protection Act, Information Governance and other Spire Policies

Who we’re looking for:

  • Experience working in a similar environment would be beneficial or minimum previous experience in an administrative role.
  • Must have good verbal and written skills and have good computer literacy to include Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • To be able to work on own initiative and/or as part of a team
  • To remain calm, positive and confident in difficult or stressful situations
  • Need to be fully flexible to work Monday to Friday ( to include some evenings ) Saturday day shift on a rota basis.
