About The Role

We have a brand-new opportunity for a Governance, Risk & Compliance intern to join the business on a 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract, with a mixture of working from home and at our Crewe Campus. Reporting to the Head of Governance, Risk & Compliance, the intern will develop a solid foundation in risk management, compliance and internal controls that underpin business activities. The individual will also be exposed to the breadth of GRC activities, Finance & Legal department and wider business, providing an opportunity to explore their potential field(s) of expertise.

Responsibilities Include
  • Support the Risk & Governance Manager with the Internal Control System
  • Support the GRC team with monitoring activities and external factors that may impact the business
  • Contribute and challenge processes as part of continuous improvement ethos
  • Drive communication enhancements including collaboration with Digital, HR and IT
  • Deliver a project aligned to the candidates interests within the scope of Governance, Risk & Compliance
About The Candidate

We know that everyone and every role is important in our ongoing success. We are looking for an extraordinary person who is studying for or has completed a degree in a related subject within the last 2 years and are on target to achieve or achieved a 2:1 or above.

We understand that you may have limited work experience but you should have well-developed problem solving and analytical skills, possess good interpersonal skills, initiative and the enthusiasm to achieve. Quality in our business is top priority and we need individuals who can demonstrate a high focus on quality and a right first time attitude.

Skills And Experience Required
  • Interest in a relevant field e.g. Regulated area; Risk Management, Finance, Law, Human Resources or Audit
  • Proficient with MS Office and IT systems
  • Analytical/critical thinker
  • Ability to challenge and communicate effectively
