Our Business

The EMEA based Fixed Income Macro Financing Sales Team(s) is a well-established and market-leading franchise covering a broad range of clients across Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, Central Banks and Sovereign Wealth Funds. The team deals in mainly EMEA Developed Market Sovereigns and Global Emerging Market Fixed Income assets. We are fully integrated with the wider JP Morgan Macro Sales and Trading Teams, allowing us to provide a specialised and dedicated coverage. The Team leverages the research, flows and information of the underlying businesses, to deliver both bespoke financing solutions and flow liquidity to the firm’s key strategic partners.

Opportunity

To work in a fast moving sales role in the heart of the Fixed Income Macro Sales and Trading business. The main objective of the job is to build relationships with both internal and external clients in order to facilitate their trading and financing strategies. You will work closely with multiple teams and provide commentary, insight and market analysis, as well as managing the day to day flow activity.

Key Responsibilities Will Include (and Not Limited To)

• Working closely with clients to meet their daily trading and financing needs
• Writing intra-day market analysis by investigating flow trends, macro news and internal research
• The ability to manage risks in the relevant business and adhere within the applicable legal and regulatory rules
• Build a strong internal network across Fixed Income Macro Sales and Trading
• Ability to prioritise your time carefully and multi task between multiple client requests from both internal partners and external clients
• Use technology to streamline and automate desk process where required
• Assist with the post trade process by ensuring the accuracy of all entries and to ensure internal controls are followed.
  

Essential Requirements

• Thorough understanding of the global financing markets and products as well as wider rates market spectrum.
• Experienced execution skills and knowledge of execution platforms / risk management protocols and procedures.
• Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a pressured environment, and grind out results on a day to day basis, along with strong teamwork & interpersonal skills is key.
• Relevant FCA qualifications & someone who is looking to build a career in the repo market.
• Knowledge of applicable accounting practices e.g. Capital rules, GSIB, RWA is beneficial. If not, then be able to demonstrate intellectual curiosity in understanding the various binding constraints and the impact it has on trading behavior.
• Highly proficient in Bloomberg, MS Excel. Python highly advantageous.
• Demonstrate interest in understanding the inter-connectedness of various markets especially in money market space.
• Ability to write periodic commentary on market trends.
• Prior roles within fixed income controls, tech & ops a plus.
