Job Title: Global Product Certification Marketing Manager

Reports to:Global Assurance Marketing Director (dotted line to Group Product Certification Director)

Location: UK Home-based

A unique new role has become available at BSI as part of the Global Marketing Team!

We’re looking for a Global Product Certification Marketing Manager to drive the group product certification product/services portfolio through market knowledge, demographic and product understanding to develop targeted marketing campaigns that address key customer issues.

The purpose of this role is to enable regions and sectors to rapidly introduce, and sustain, key product certification product/services in their respective markets through a concise go-to-market toolbox, including value propositions and ready to use marketing campaigns and collateral.

Person Specification
  • 5 years’ direct marketing experience, preferably in commercial events, training, publishing or related.
  • Experience of campaign planning and execution through multiple marketing channels with a strong focus on digital marketing methods.
  • Experience of writing effective benefits-led promotional copy, including interpreting of customer data to clearly demonstrate how to solve problems and add value.
  • Strong analytical acumen.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills as well as an eye for detail.
  • Educated to Business or Marketing degree level, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent English skills.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
  • To own the core global marketing plan for BSI’s assurance product certification portfolio that encompasses:
  • Product launch plans for new product certification products/services including target audience, key markets/countries, sector identification, target list development in partnership with countries, content for marketing channels like blogs, newsletters, BSI web pages, competitive research/insights. Social posts, marketing content for country campaigns. Researching and identifying new channels, partnerships to grow the business. Partnering/working closely with new product and development area, Global Product Certification NPD Manager.
Additionally,
  • To develop additional solution focused copy and product/service details that includes value proposition, pricing strategy and clear information on how the product fits within the current portfolio.
  • To segment and adjust the core product certification marketing messaging in the go to market documents and email content to target audiences including current BSI contacts, past product certification attendees and new prospects.
  • To write optimized, benefit driven marketing copy for use on website and ensure use of approved brand imagery.
  • To own and maintain relevant product certification case studies and testimonials to support relevant product/service launches and on-going promotion.
  • On-going review and improvement of marketing collateral and websites for core product suite and strategic initiatives.
  • To support global social media activity by identifying social sharing opportunities and campaigns.
  • To work on collaboration with regional marketing as well as sectors to deliver the marketing plan within the region
  • Monitor the performance of the various marketing channels especially digital and produce analysis/reports, identify areas for improvement and best practices to be shared and deployed across all regions for Product Certification campaigns
  • In full collaboration with the PC exec and key stakeholders define the PC value proposition, proof points, key messages to be deployed globally and being a member of the Prod Cert exec
  • To develop a collaborative working relationship across global marketing function, sector marketing leads and key country/regional marketing working groups.
  • To provide relevant content and assets for client-facing teams: sales, tutors, relevant internal stakeholders.
Key Result Areas
  • Campaign execution – monitor the effective use of the launch marketing collateral and recommended multi-channel marketing with a particular focus on the Key Countries that drive the training business.
  • Performance reporting – own regular reporting and insight on product and project performance in collaboration with the Group Training Digital Marketing Lead to assist management decisions.
  • Collaboration – effective collaboration between key functions including regions, sectors, Group Training Team, and data / BI teams.
