You’ll lead on the new Vehicle Restraint scheme, as well as other product schemes, linked to road markings, road signage and to a lesser extent, road surfacing. Your role will be to provide policy and authoritative input on technical, regulatory and procedural issues; to identify and act as technical lead - vechicle restraint system representing BSI on all relevant external bodies and also work with other internal teams to ensure routes to market are successful. About You: You’ll have extensive knowledge of National Highways Sector Schemes and highways product knowledge (e.g. road signage, crash barriers). You’ll support partnerships with agencies such as Highways England, and you’ll also act as a coach, mentor and SME within BSI, supporting colleagues across our road, traffic and transport services. As well as working with NHSS you’ll also work with standards such as BS EN 1824, BS EN 1436, BS 7962 and BS EN 1463. If you have both product and highways knowledge, that’s brilliant. If you have either one or the other, we can train and develop you, so there’s real scope for career development within this role.
