We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GF to oversee our highways project. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the construction site, managing resources effectively, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities

1 Lead and supervise construction activities on the highways project site.

2 Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are achieved.

3 Manage and allocate resources, including labour, equipment, and materials, to meet project requirements.

4 Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations, promoting a culture of safety among the project team.

5 Monitor work progress and quality, addressing any issues or concerns promptly to maintain project timelines and standards.

6 Provide regular reports on project status, including progress, challenges, and solutions, to project management.

7 Train and mentor junior staff, promoting skill development and team cohesion.

8 Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and best practices on the project site.

Requirements

1 Proven experience as a GF or similar role in highway construction projects.

2 In:depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, particularly related to highways and infrastructure.

3 Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.

4 Excellent problem:solving abilities and decision:making skills, with a focus on achieving project objectives efficiently.

5 Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.

6 Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.

7 Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.

8 Relevant certifications or training in construction management, safety, or related fields are desirable.
