Our PRUH site has changed significantly over the last 12 months. We have a new Group structure at King’s and a focus on ‘One Trust’. We have appointed new Site Chief Executives and Site Leadership Teams at the Denmark Hill and the PRUH. The site has secured new levels of capital investment and is making sustainable gains in performance – amongst the highest in London in some areas.

Services Within The Group Include

Our new Adult Medicine Care Group has an income of £20m with 430 employees and has been recently reconfigured to enable effective transformation and improvement.

  • Care of the Elderly
  • Orthogeriatrics
  • Stroke Unit
  • Palliative Care
  • High Dependency Care Unit.
We have some exciting developments in progress and planned, including a mental health assessment unit adjacent to our ED, and a £3.2m investment in theatres. We have also secured funding for a new Endoscopy Suite and a new multistorey car park.

Of significant impact to this role will be our new Acute Frailty Unit, currently planned as part of our Acute Frailty Pathway with our partners on the ‘One Bromley, One Care’ consortium. As the hospital with the highest frail acute levels in London, this could be a transformational development for the Trust, and you will lead on the establishment and running of the Unit on site.

We are now seeking to appoint an experienced General Manager for Adult Medicine who is keen to be part of the change at the PRUH. You will work as part of a triumvirate, led by a new Clinical Director, reporting to the new Site Director of Operations.

This would be an excellent opportunity for a General Manager who aspires to a future Director-level role to build and evidence their ability to manage complex services, work effectively with system partners, and be part of transformational change within a high-profile Foundation Trust.
