The joint Cardiac Diagnostic sites at KCH and PRUH performs 60,000 non-invasive procedures per annum. In addition to TTE, we perform 3D echo, TOE, stress echo, contrast echocardiography, as well as other specialist procedures. The cardiac cath labs/ intervention suite at KCH supports a busy PAMI service and progressive treatments such as TAVI, complex CRM device implants, EP and ablation. The PRUH cardiac cath lab facility is currently used for diagnostic cases and pacemaker implants and will be developed in the future.

This is a role within the new cardiovascular divisional management structure, designed to strengthen leadership and education within the Cardiac Diagnostic Department at Bromley PRUH.

The post holder will work closely with the Principal Cardiac Physiologist in Echocardiography to promote, lead, educate and develop Echo Services at PRUH – cross site educational and teaching will be encouraged. King’s holds training courses and workshops for teaching echo skills and knowledge to medical and healthcare scientists and we encourage and promote the importance of teaching and learning, which includes holding a weekly echo meeting and support for attendance at educational meetings and conferences.

You will be a highly self-motivated individual who is organised, flexible and reliable. You must be able to demonstrate expertise in advanced techniques in echocardiography and be enthusiastic to both teach and learn within the field of echocardiography.
