Our PRUH site has changed significantly over the last 12 months. We have a new Group structure at Kings and a focus on ‘One Trust’. We have appointed new Site Chief Executives and Site Leadership Teams at the Denmark Hill and the PRUH. The site has secured new levels of capital investment and is making sustainable gains in performance – amongst the highest in London in some areas.

Services Within The Group Include

Our new General Medicine Care Group has an income of £33m with 660 employees and has been recently reconfigured to enable effective transformation and improvement.

  • Emergence Department
  • Ambulatory Care Unit
  • Coronary Care Unit.
We have some exciting developments in progress, including a mental health assessment unit adjacent to our ED, and a £3.2m investment in theatres. We have also secured funding for a new Endoscopy Suite and multistorey car park.

A significant development is our new Acute Frailty Unit. As the hospital with the highest frail acute levels in London, this should transform how we manage patient flow and release more capacity across our Emergency Department and inpatient wards.

We have a great workforce – caring, loyal committed – and very good infrastructure. With the right leadership structure and focus on the PRUH, we have shown that we can move at pace.

We are now seeking to appoint an experienced General Manager for General Medicine who is keen to be part of the change at the PRUH. You will work as part of a triumvirate, led by our new Clinical Director, reporting to the new Site Director of Operations.

This would be an excellent opportunity for a General Manager who aspires to a future Director-level role to build and evidence their ability to manage complex services, work effectively with system partners, and be part of transformational change within a high-profile Foundation Trust.
