We are looking to recruit a General Administrator to provide administrative support for the provision of Covid-19 testing for staff and elective patients.

You will be working within a small but busy contact centre speaking to staff and patients using a bespoke computer system to book them in for Covid Testing. You will need to be confident, self-motivated with excellent organisational and IT skills and be able to prioritise your workload effectively to meet deadlines whilst ensuring a high standard of service is maintained.

You will need to have excellent computer skills and be able to work using your own initiative. You must have excellent organisational skills, a professional telephone manner and the ability to remain calm under pressure. The posts are full time 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidates will be required to cover Monday - Friday 08:30 - 04:30

Working for our organisation

This post will be based at the City Hospital you will be working within a small but busy team speaking to staff and patients. The posts are full time 37.5 hours per week. We currently work weekdays 8.30 until 4.30 with reduced cover of 8.30 – 13.30 on Bank Holidays.

Training & Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • A - C in English & Maths or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ Level 2 in Business Admin / Customer Services

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working in a healthcare setting
  • Experience working in a customer care environment
Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience with Hospital systems
  • Experience working in a call centre environment or similar telephone experience

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Experienced in using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.

  • Transfer of information: If I have previous NHS service - I consent to the transfer of my Electronic Staff Record (ESR) data between this and other NHS Trusts. I also consent to the Occupational Health Departmentconfidentially accessing my occupational health records from my current or previous employer in order to check the status of my vaccinations, immunisations s and screening tests as relevant to the post. I understand this is an automated process and the information will only be used for these purposes prior to me taking up the position at NUH.
  • Disclosure and Barring Service: Your post maybe subject to a DBS check which incur a cost dependent on the level of check required (£45 for enhanced and £28 for standard). I agree to reimburse Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust the cost of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check if it is required (by deduction from first month’s pay). Should I decide to withdraw from my job offer, I agree to reimburse Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust the cost of the DBS check undertaken by cheque or other agreed method.
