Carnival UK has big plans for the future! Already the market leader, CUK (which operates the P&O Cruises and Cunard Brands) will continue to grow as we add new ships to the fleet and further transform the industry by making cruising a mainstream holiday for UK guests.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fuel Planning and Operations Analyst to join our Port and Shore Operations team within the Maritime Department.

The Role

In this role you will be responsible for coordinating the daily fuel activities ensuring deliveries are completed on time and to company policies. You will support activities in energy and emissions management and reporting as well as support the budget cost lines of fuel including providing materially accurate and timely forecasts to finance and senior management.

You will maintain deployment systems with the latest in fuel consumption inputs and support the creation and monitoring of fuel budgets and forecasts in line with company timelines and working with Finance department to identify variances and drivers of key KPI’s.

In addition, there will be a requirement for out of hours cover for fuel operations and support to our ERO team.

About You

To be successful in this role you will need to have previous experience in an admin or logistic type role as well as in managing operational performance. You will be skilled in statistical data analysis and presentation with a high level knowledge of Excel Spreadsheets and Database capability. You will be adaptable to rapidly evolving circumstances with the ability to think clearly under pressure, multitask and have an eye for detail.

You will have a commercial acumen and be able to influence both internal and external decision makers.

You will have a good working knowledge of MS-Office applications

A relevant degree in shipping or marine related subject or discipline (or equivalent) is desirable.

Knowledge of budget planning and forecasting would be beneficial.
