At Carnival Corporate Shipbuilding, we manage the entire cruise shipbuilding process, from the initial business opportunity to post-delivery warranty, and everything in between for Carnival Corporation, the world’s largest cruise company. To enable Corporate Shipbuilding to be the centre of excellence we aspire to be, we have an exciting opportunity for a Director, Program Management Office (PMO).

This role will be responsible for leading the Corporate Shipbuilding PMO department and its deliverables. This means ensuring strong controls and governance across our live projects and the delivery of the transformation activities to deliver Corporate Shipbuilding’s strategic initiatives, future operating model as well as realise required efficiencies/targets and drive new growth.

We are looking for an individual who can develop and embed the Corporate Shipbuilding PMO capability across Corporate Shipbuilding, key responsibilities include:

  • Accountability for ensuring standard project methodology, documentation and administration is reflected in our policies, processes, and methods.
  • Accountability for the governance across all business projects.
  • Introducing and ensuring the application of portfolio planning capability.
  • Capturing process maps and systems requirements to support a unified, standard ship building process.
  • Analysing and reporting on key project status, milestones, and performance KPIs across our business.
  • Leading our transformation activities to drive the implementation of strategic initiatives into normal ways of working.

About You

You’ll have a bachelor’s degree in business or another specialist area and a project management qualification. You’ll have extensive project/program management experience, including portfolio management, project planning and reporting, as well as delivering PMO capabilities and new ways of working.

You’ll possess a thorough understanding in how to lead and deliver large, complex business change programmes that include an IT component in cross-functional business process. You will also have experience in managing process reviews and re-engineering in a complex and established environment. You’ll have demonstrable leadership skills, and able to coach and manage talent development activities.
