An exciting opportunity exists for an FP&A Analyst to join the Finance team.

PURPOSE

  • To provide the team with accurate and insightful financial analysis and forecasting in order to improve decision making capabilities.
  • Support the development of a world class FP&A function, which drives transparency and insight across the wider organisation – ensuring everyone is working to ‘one version of the truth’
  • To actively contribute to the Team’s primary objective of consistently being a top three team in the FIA Constructor’s Championship.

Primary Responsibilities

FINANCIAL PLANNING

  • To support the Head of FP&A with the preparation of forecasts, budget and 5 year plan across P&L, balance sheet and cashflow, holding the business to account for performance against these
  • Provide quality information on a timely basis to support decision making by the Directors of the business
  • Accurately prepare working capital and capital expenditure analysis and commentary for the board report
  • Seek out and take responsibility for delivering process improvement changes.

MONTH END

  • Timely, insightful and accurate production of management reporting for the business, including calculation and input into the general ledger of various accruals and prepayments, and review and analysis of costs and income.
  • Preparation of multiple balance sheet reconciliations and support with audit process.
  • Support the delivery of leadership review packs and flash forecasts

BUSINESS PARTNERING

  • Support the Finance Business Partners in providing business partnering for the Cost Centre owners and their teams, providing them with accurate and meaningful financial information to support them with month end reviews and budgets / reforecasts, as well as decision making to drive the business forward and influence results.
  • Providing analysis support to the Finance Business Partner.
  • Preparation of budgets and reforecasts to provide clear and accurate reporting.
  • Support with calculations for the FIA cost reporting.

OTHER

  • Identify and implement improvements in systems and processes to ensure all work carried out is efficient and value adding.
  • Creation of insightful, automated reporting using PowerBI or similar solution
  • Assist the Finance Business Partners and wider Finance team with adhoc requests to support the business when required.

Skills & Knowledge Required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Either be qualified or studying (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)

EXPERIENCE

  • Management accounting experience (minimum of 3 years)
  • Experience of working in a fast paced environment
  • Ideally, experience of working within Formula 1 in a similar role

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal ability, capable of communicating effectively with senior figures across the business and comfortable in challenging the status quo
  • Analytical mind-set and an eye for detail, capable of working quickly to a high standard of accuracy
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment, dealing with a high volume of workload
  • Communicate information effectively verbally and in writing with use of graphical tools as necessary
  • Expert in use of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products
  • Experience with PowerBI is desirable
  • Uses problem solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritising own work and the work of the team in an organised and accurate manner within tight deadlines, keeping calm and focussed
  • Be enthusiastic and versatile and be able to build, develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues
