Summary

We’re looking for a passionate and out-going Food & Beverage Team Leader to join us here at Kingston Lacey.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Variable hours,weekends, school holidays including half terms and Bank Holiday weekends?will be required.

Salary: £20,124 per annum / £10.32 per hour

Duration: This is a permanent role which offers realistic salary progression based on annual reviews.

You’ll be located at Kingston Lacey, Wimborne Minster, Dorset.


The Food & Beverage department have?the?main Stables?cafe, the Coach House and a?kiosk in the Kitchen Garden. The friendly team have said that they enjoy the environment and the work surroundings, the Stables block being over 200 years old with plenty of character.?The Stables cafe?offers brunch, lunches, cream teas and cakes and traybakes, the majority produced on site. The Coach House is a smaller onsite?outlet offering much of the same as the Stables.

The Kitchen Garden kiosk is set in the stunning surroundings of the old Kitchen Garden that is currently set for renovation next year, and a new play area is?being installed?in Summer 2022. The kiosk offers soft scoop ice cream, hot and cold drinks and snacks.

It can be a fast paced environment but also enjoyable and relaxed.

We open at 10am?and have seasonal closing times?and are not open in the evenings so you will have a good work life balance. As a member of the team you will receive a staff card which entitles you to free admission to all National Trust properties and 20% off in the cafes and retail shops.


What you’ll be doing

Ensuring the team are competently trained and compliant with relevant legislation, you’ll also make sure every food and drink order is beautifully presented and served with a smile.

Assisting the Food & Beverage Manager and Assistant Food & Beverage Manager on their respective days off and being responsible for the business at times when they are both away from the business. This will include financial reporting and ordering amongst other tasks.

Interviews: This is an immediate start, interviews will be held by appointment on receiving applications.

You will not be required to work nights, split shifts and will be off on Christmas Day as the property is fully closed to the public.
