You’ll enjoy the buzz of working in a busy guest facing role delivering outstanding service at one of our varied food outlets across our site. With such a large variety of Food and Beverage outlets every day is different, you could be based in the hustle and bustle of the Chameleon Tree Restaurant and Coffee House, in our stunning Orangery serving Lady Emma’s afternoon teas or even at our Watering Hole Café with views overlooking the giraffe and zebra. These are no ordinary hospitality roles, working hours are extremely attractive with no split shifts, no late nights or early mornings, meaning a great work life balance.

What will this role entail?

Reporting to our Assistant Food and Beverage Managers, you’ll be responsible for advising customers on products and answering their queries, efficiently operating tills, maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of all food and beverage services areas, to clearing and cleaning tables as required.

Key Duties include;

  • Provide the highest standard of guest service at all times
  • Be knowledgeable about all products sold, advising customers and answering queries
  • Operate tills in line with cash handling procedure
  • Clear and clean tables
  • Ensure all front of house areas are clean and tidy in line with Company hygiene standards
  • Drive sales by replenishment of display/fridges and upselling
  • Record and keep end of day service wastage to a minimum
  • Ensure service work areas are kept in a clean and hygienic condition in line with internal periodic audits
  • Ensure service equipment and utensils are handled, maintained and used correctly

What will I need to be considered for this vacancy?

  • Demonstrable customer service experience is desirable, although not essential.
  • An abundance of enthusiasm and energy, and a passion for delivering a great customer service experience
  • Excellent communication skills with a confident, mature and friendly nature
  • Good team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Be honest, reliable and committed, and enjoy responsibility and exceeding expectations
  • Flexible to work extra hours / weekends as required

You’ll be employed on a permanent contract working a minimum of 312 hours across a 3 month period. Working hours to vary over a 7-day rota basis, including weekends, evenings and bank holidays as required. Earliest start time from 8am, and latest finish time up to 8.30pm, varying in accordance with opening times.
