Creative Design Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Creative Design Manager to join our Marketing Team. Leading our design studio, you will produce award winning and effective work across the entire business including for our innovating events such as The Festival of Light.

What will this role entail?

Reporting to the Marketing Director, you’ll be responsible for providing support in product development and creative direction. This includes leading on the design of large scale events, developing advertising concepts for marketing campaigns, new exhibit design and collaborating on the TV commercial production.

Key duties will include:

  • To work with the marketing team to deliver high quality, integrated creative campaigns and marketing materials.
  • To manage the design team and oversee the creative output of the studio within the timelines required by the business.
  • Oversee all design projects, from conception to delivery.
  • To work alongside the Senior Marketing Executive to maintain brand consistency regarding logos, imagery and tone of voice, ensuring our brands are always presented to an exacting standard and never abused. In addition, ensure that our cultural and brand values are clearly expressed and never compromised.
  • Work closely with external agencies on above and below-the-line projects to ensure that our marketing communications are fully integrated from a brand perspective. Oversee the creative direction of these communications to ensure they represent the Astonishing Kingdom and Longleat in the best way possible.
  • Developing the interpretation strategy and content for exhibitions, events and exhibits.

What will I need to be considered for this vacancy?

The ideal candidate will be an energetic self-starter with a minimum of 3 years’ experience either agency or client-side. You will enjoy being part of a small and tight-knit team.

You will already be at the mid-weight level, with plenty of ideas coupled with strong end to end skills, right through to art working, and you will have solid print-process knowledge. You will also have already been used to lots of responsibility, and have a folio with high quality creative and campaign work.

  • Great visual and verbal communications, alongside proven knowledge of scamping, storyboarding and mood-boarding.
  • Demonstrable expertise in using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Significant experience working in a senior design position in a busy agency or in-house team.
  • Experience of managing a team.
  • Experienced at devising and executing creative solutions for communications campaigns, reports, presentations, marketing campaigns, interpretation, infographics etc.
  • Experienced at providing strategic advice and design input across a multi-faceted business.
  • Experience of cross-platform design is essential for social media and online
  • Exceptional graphic design skills, creative flair and expert knowledge of graphic design and typography, including an appreciation of the consistent use of graphic identity to build a strong brand. Experience of working across integrated campaigns is essential.

What will I receive in return?

As a Creative Design Manager you will receive a salary of £30,750 - £33,500 depending on experience in addition to a range of attractive benefits that include;

You’ll be employed on a permanent 37.5-hour contract Monday-Friday, including weekends, evening and bank holidays as required. Earliest start time from 9am, and latest finish time up to 5.30pm.
