Do you have a passion for keeping our environment clean and litter-free? Are you a proactive individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an Anti-Litter Patrol Enforcement Officer.
With 2.3 million pieces of litter being dropped every day, you will play a lead role in patrolling the borough to investigate and issue a fixed penalty notice and help to prosecute offenders in contravention of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, Anti-Social Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014 and other environmental crimes when required, with the aim of reducing the number of offences throughout the year.
We have on average 40 hours per week available for a Flexible Temporary Worker plus overtime.
This is a temporary assignment with the potential of turning into a permanent role, working in Brentford, TW8 area.
8 hour day shifts between Monday to Friday, 08.00 am - 16.00 pm / 09.00 am - 17.00 pm.
Salary: £12.00 per hour - Weekly pay. (c. £24,960.00 per annum)
What is included in your agreement with us?
We generally operate as an Agency and Employment Business, as referred to in the regulations in our ‘agreement for work finding services,’ and we are in the business of providing recruitment services to Client’s looking for workers, and work finding services to candidates seeking work. With the opportunity to transfer to a full-time Kingdom contract after 3 months.
- Full PAYE status.
- Eligible for SSP/SMP.
- Weekly pay every Friday.

Responsibilities:
Regular patrols in designated areas to identify and address littering offenses
- Issue fixed penalty notices (FPNs) to individuals found littering, in accordance with local regulations and procedures
- Educate and engage with members of the public to promote awareness of littering issues and encourage responsible waste disposal
- Maintain accurate records of enforcement actions taken, including photographs and written documentation
- Attend court hearings when required to provide evidence relating to issued FPNs
- Liaise with local authorities, environmental agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure effective enforcement and communication
- Attend training sessions and workshops to stay up-to-date on the latest legislation and best practices
- Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor when interacting with the public and colleagues
Requirements:
- Any experience in a similar or customer services, conflict management / resolution role
- Knowledge of UK environmental legislation and litter enforcement procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle confrontational situations calmly and professionally
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work outside of standard office hours, including weekends and public holidays
