On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Financial Reporting Accountantfor an 6-month long contract based in Glasgow(hybrid pattern).


As a Financial Reporting Accountant, you will:
  • Perform timely and accurate reviews of year end and half year financial accounts (including tax provisions)
  • Liaise with auditors and other operational departments
  • Prepare monthly board papers
  • Prepare IFRS10 reporting, actual distribution rates, and closed funds balance sheets
  • Process receipts and payments
  • Maintain accounting records
  • Prepare returns to HMRC and Office for National Statistics
  • Work closely with Fund Accounting and Middle Office teams in ensuring integrity of fund data and managing responses to Clients, Auditors, Trustees, Custodians, and other departments
  • Assist in documenting procedures and controls for new and existing processes
  • Escalate any issues in a timely manner

What we’re looking for:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid numerical and analytical skills
  • Time management and planning skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Accounting experience and / or qualification or studying towards an accounting qualification
  • Experience working in the Financial Services sector
  • Fund Accounting knowledge (desirable)

About the client


This client will only accept workers operating via an Umbrella or PAYE engagement model.
