Job overview

We are seeking Financial Controller who will be the immediate point of contact for financial services, providing detailed advice and guidance to finance and non-finance managers.

This role will be responsible for ensuring financial transactions are undertaken in accordance with the Trust’s Standing Financial Instruction and accounting standards, both internally and through services provided by third party organisations.

This will involve the management of capital accounting, treasury management services, debtors, other control accounts, and the provision of Charitable Funds accounting. Where required the role will work closely with 3rd parties for the outsourced provision of these services and will monitor the arrangements with these entities.


Main duties of the job

As the Financial Controller you will be responsible, under the direction of the Head of Financial Services, for the preparation of the supporting working papers for the Annual Financial Accounts in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards, the Annual Reporting Manual and Monitor guidance.

This role will also involve deputising for the Head of Financial Services in periods of absence and provide other line management and responsibilities as advised by the Head of Financial Services
