JOB PURPOSE

The Finance Systems Change Manager role supports the Director of Shared Services Systems in formulating strategies and approaches to deliver the Finance systems strategy, specifically rationalization of systems and cross operating company initiatives.

The role will partner with existing systems projects to ensure a strategically aligned approach to systems delivery, with a keen focus on the long term roadmap of automation and building techniques for the future.

The role will involve some amount of financial performance review (Cost vs budget, Project cost review, Business Cases), designing and embedding appropriate measures and review to ensure that the Shared Services, Global finance systems team are successfully supporting projects and delivering across the group.

There is a clear need to influence stakeholders, assess, challenge and recommend solutions based on complex issues encountered across multiple countries and jurisdictions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Help drive the Global Finance systems strategy, by working across operating companies to support their systems decisions, delivering operational efficiencies and systems cost savings
  • Manage the systems rationalization activities to ensure the Liberty group of companies are aligned to the Global Systems strategy
  • Maintain the master lists of systems to track capability and usage of those systems
  • Support the budgeting and forecast process with knowledge of systems roadmap, and capabilities
  • Help identify areas of improvement, across the systems landscape, and create business cases for systems change where appropriate
  • Support other functions who are running systems changes to ensure that decisions are aligned to the Global Systems strategy.
  • Be passionate about networking – build contacts to draw on expertise during project delivery
  • Build knowledge in new areas to provide challenge and escalation where required
  • Collaborate with teams outside of shared services to ensure project dependencies are delivered
  • Presentation of progress reporting tailored to the audience and escalation to senior management
  • Manage convergence of processes, strategies or reporting by defining, planning, managing and tracking projects that cover multiple countries and jurisdictions.
  • Development of policy and governance frameworks to give clarity and support simplification and efficiency objective
  • Identify, monitor and challenge key initiatives that will drive the success of the Finance systems strategy
  • Co-ordinate and monitor volumes, KPI’s and the sharing of issues and best practice across group operating companies
  • Document processes, in order to support other teams, drive a consistent standard across the group
Knowledge & Experience

  • Some experience in a Project Management or Business Analysis role
  • Experience of performance measurement and / or control activities for a multinational operation
  • Experience in a fast moving multinational or multi-entity finance environment
  • Good communicator who is willing to ask lots of questions
  • Strong ability to persuade and engage
  • Great collaborator, especially with team who’s priorities may not be aligned
  • Takes responsibility and strong personal drive
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing demands
  • Business case preparation and scenario modelling
  • Solid analytical ability
  • Organised with a keen eye for detail
  • Experience analyzing and presenting data
  • Fluent in English (both verbally and written)
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word
