We are looking for a Payroll Coordinator to join our Employee Services Team in Bradford. This is initially a 12 month fixed term contract with potential to become permanent.

Within this role you will be responsible for the global payroll accounting facility for Liberty Global and Virgin Media in the UK, Ireland, US and Netherlands.

Reporting to the Payroll Services Lead, you will ensure payrolls are processed accurately for employees completing international assignments, intercompany transfers and the global graduate programme across the Liberty Group, as well as ensuring that the preparation and submission of each payroll is correct, managing and positively influencing internal stakeholder and external 3rd party relationships and all statutory filings to the HMRC.

What will you be doing?

Your duties will be wide ranging, but ultimately you will:

  • Deliver an accurate and professional service to all customers whilst working alongside our business partners, to resolve complex pay queries and complaints, escalating as appropriate.
  • Continuous identification and implementation of end to end processes improvements, increasing the efficiency of the service we provide
  • Liaise with country specific governing bodies, including HMRC, Benefits Agency, Contributions Agency providing information as required, in accordance with confidentiality and GDPR procedures.
  • Implement and maintain global payroll process guides for UK, Netherlands, US and Ireland.
  • Ensure we maintain compliant administration and reporting of country specific tax and social security withholding and reporting.
  • Building strong working partnerships with Global Employment Tax, People & Reward teams across the Liberty Group.
  • Work alongside the Director Employee Services to agree project development and delivery priorities and ensure accurate team capacity planning.
  • Re-evaluate working methods and processes as new candidates are impacted by global payroll legislation, ensuring training is provided when necessary.
We Tend To Look For People With

  • Previous experience in Global Payroll processing
  • A thorough understanding of payroll processes and procedures
  • Detailed and practical knowledge of statutory legislation pertinent to Income Tax (PAYE), National Insurance, SSP, SMP, SPP and SAP and Salary sacrifice, Benefits in Kind and Attachment of Earning Orders.
  • Have demonstrable experience in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders
  • Are an experienced user of Microsoft Office with experience in using query management tools.
  • Advanced communication skills with proven experience in working collaboratively across multiple functions.
  • A high degree of inter-personal skills is essential, in an environment where conflicting priorities can result in delays and failures, to ensure that no deadlines are ever missed.
