We are recruiting for a Graduate for a company based in the Newark area.

This role is an entry position into their Finance/Accounts department. The company has approximately 100 employees and a turnover in excess of £100M

No previous experience necessary, main attributes they are looking for is someone prepared to learn and develop within finance, someone who is committed and will work hard. They can offer all the training necessary to learn every aspect of the finance department and are prepared to offer further professional qualifications like CIMA. The accounts department is responsible for all aspects of accounting for both the English company and another company based outside of England. They look after all accounting matters for the two companies including local statutory reporting and associated obligations plus group reporting in USGAAP and SOX compliance. As a UK company with an ultimate parent company that is quoted on the US stock market, they are subject to local statutory audits and also group international audits.

Main Duties: Carry out monthly balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline (UKGAAP and USGAAP).

Monitor and record SOX compliance/segregation of duties records.

Complete and action statutory returns and be the main contact with Revenue and Customs for VAT, Intrastats, EC Sales, Plastic Tax, Sub-Contractor returns, PAYE, P11D’s and NOVA submissions.

Complete periodic Office of National Statistics surveys.

Monitor and review internal machine warranty costs.

Review and summarise Machine Contract Review sheets and reconcile with COPA.

Monitor Customer rebates eligibility.

Assist with month end closing including accruals.

Assist with general cover for annual leave in the department.
