Role Summary:To provide transparent financial management and build close partnerships across the business, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting to the senior management team, the operational business leaders and to Group. Provide strong and authoritative leadership within the department and development of the finance function across the company .

Main Responsibilities and Challenges:
  • Responsible for the production of timely and accurate financial information to the senior management team and the operational management leaders.
  • Providing strong management and leadership to the team.
  • Implementing and adhering to group financial reporting requirements, ensuring all tight deadlines are met.
  • Actively involved in the commercial, legal and financial aspects of potential acquisitions and disposals.
  • To organize and/or provide an advisory role on commercial contractual matters. Prepare, monitor and maintain annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Controlling, challenging and reporting the operational, business and financial performance on a timely basis.
  • Reporting and accounting as per regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Review key business processes and implement key actions that result in business productivity gains.
  • Work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to ensure that the company’s and group’s reporting requirements are suitably supported and resourced.
  • To maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Responsible for Management and Operation Accountants
Principal Accountabilities:

Financial Reporting & Control:
  • To adhere to the financial controls of ASSA ABLOY.
  • Ensure that all timetables for monthly accounting and reporting are strictly met.
  • Development of existing reporting systems ensuring that they are relevant for the business and the commercial environment being operated in.
  • Monitoring of major cash KPI’s such as stock, debtors and creditors ensuring that exceptions are noted and escalated to the Financial Controller and the Sales Units Managing Director for corrective action.
Commercial Analysis and Contractual Matters:
  • To maintain and develop the commercial reporting.
  • Analyse, review and report on business issues by exception in a clear and concise way.
  • To work alongside the Sales Units Managing Directors to enforce and develop the commercial policy and review new business opportunities.
Acquisitions:
  • To be actively involved in the commercial, legal and financial aspects of potential acquisitions and disposals
Business Planning:
  • Ensure that the necessary business planning systems are in place and that all forecasts are delivered in line with agreed timetables.
  • Ensure that all new business opportunities and investments are fully evaluated against agreed parameters.
Operational Management:
  • To work closely with Management in support of the achievement of the local and group objectives.
  • To foster and develop a “one team” culture.
Background and Personal Qualities

Experience:
  • Qualified Accountant
  • At least five years post recognised financial qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
  • At least five years experience in management and supervision
  • Experience of Manufacturing Accounting (essential)
  • Successfully working to very tight deadlines
  • Acquisition experience
  • Working in a fast paced environment and dealing with changing priorities
  • Working on projects where profitability has been challenged and improved
  • Exact Globe (desirable)
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX (desirable)
Qualifications:
  • Degree qualified or relevant experience
Special Competencies:
  • Advanced Excel
  • Use of management information systems
