Finance Business Partner (Minimum 12-14 month maternity cover) – East Yorkshire - £40,000 & £4000 Bonus

Our exclusive client is a fast growing, well respected, forward thinking business with exciting future plans that need a high performing finance business partner to support them with the success of their future group strategy. With plans to grow acquisitively and move into new markets, you will proactively partner the business units to drive performance and support to understand their financial and operational performance. This may be initially a 12-14 month minimum maternity cover contract but there genuinely couldn’t be a more exciting time to join them as they have a promising future ahead.

You’ll need to be commercially focused and able to build strong relationships and drive improvements to help our fast-paced business continue to thrive. You’ll enjoy an environment that encourages development of skills, knowledge and experience and where new ideas and initiatives are encouraged.

Job Description

Reporting to the Finance Manager the role will include:
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and MI pack, including detailed variance analysis and commentary
  • Quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting for your allocated departments and group companies
  • Proactively partnering the operational managers of the business unit, seeking to drive performance improvement with clearly presented financials and analysis
  • Assisting in the production of Group Strategies including producing and presenting KPI’s to all levels of stakeholders
  • Providing mentoring for more junior members of the team
  • Supporting operational managers with various projects and investment appraisals
  • Delivering accurate monthly forecast and annual budget information
  • Support with continuous improvement and change strategy to drive improvements in reporting
The Successful Applicant

In Order To Be Shortlisted For These Positions You Will Need To Have

The client is looking for positive, dynamic candidates with and a proven track record of improving performance and profitability.
  • CIMA, ACCA or ACA finalist studier or qualified accountant
  • Strong interpersonal skills along with the confidence/passion to add value and get into the business
  • Self-motivated and results orientated
  • Be able to demonstrate an understanding of a wide range of financial techniques including costing, KPI’s, project planning support, management accounting, MI reporting and operational analysis

Our client, are offering a competitive remuneration package of £35,000 - £40,000 (dependent upon experience), £4000 Completion Bonus, contributory pension and various incentive schemes.
