Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

To partner with the business by providing effective financial management, insight and professional advice to leaders and business teams. You will also ensure access to critical financial information; provide commercially insightful financial advice; and proactively educate and challenge business leaders to understand and utilise this for decision-making, financial stewardship, and performance measurement against Auckland Transport and functional business plans.

You Will Also Have

As a successful Finance Business Partner, you have the perfect blend of Finance/Accounting and communication skills. Ideally, you will have a background in finance, business advisory, and/or accounting.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in finance, accounting or related discipline
  • The ability to deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment
  • Experience as a Management or Financial Accountant in a large organisation
  • Knowledge of planning, budgeting and forecasting
Due to the variety of stakeholders that you will interact with, it is essential that you have outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written. You will also be equipped with an incredible eye for detail and a natural ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
