Finance and Commercial Manager

Radbroke, Knutsford

As a Barclays Finance and Commercial Manager you will be managing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the desktop budget to ensure it remains within agreed budget forecast and in line with all finance controls. You will also be accurately managing the budget allocated, ensuring all spend requests are completed to satisfactory quality and assuring invoice quality from approved third party suppliers.

What will you be doing?

  • Taking full responsibility for the commercial management of vendor contracts
  • Operating the allocated budget
  • Accurately reporting detailed finance forecasting, Win10 program spend, accruals and releases and any budget risks
  • Identifying commercial opportunities and putting plans in place to deliver these in conjunction with broader desktop services team requirements and vendors
  • Improving vendor performance around delivery of key services
  • Working with internal team members to ensure budget requests are forecast and submitted accurately and on time
  • Liaising with finance business partners and delivery partners to ensure any spend requests are converted to services and invoiced in line with Barclays’ standards
  • Engaging with key stakeholders and VP, Director and MD level across the business to ensure understanding of billing and commercial performance

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience of organisational awareness and how contract management can be utilised to drive vendor performance
  • Experience managing financial controls and operational management of budgets
  • The ability to clearly articulate the IT structure and functions and the services and product set and how contract management can be applied
  • The ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels

Skills That Will Help You In The Role

  • A wide knowledge of IT support and its exploitation in both own and other organisations
  • Proven experience in leading on customer service within an enterprise environment
  • Knowledge of the application of a significant range of fundamental principles in a wide and often unpredictable variety of contexts
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft packages

You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64 acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play.
