The Opportunity:

As a Field Technician - Livestock TB Tester, you will join our North Canterbury based team.

You will receive on the job training and will work in pairs to visit your customers farms within the North Canterbury region.

You will perform a variety of on-farm tasks to support farmers with animal health services, market access certification, environmental monitoring, live animal export certification and disease control.

You will have a Tool of Trade vehicle to commute to your customers farms within the North Canterbury region, plus a mobile and laptop so that you can work from anywhere. Your start and finish times will vary to fit the scheduled jobs, and is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

This is a full-time permanent role, to start immediately.

About You:

You will be a great fit for this role if you have the following:

  • Prior experience handling livestock on a farm
  • A clean and current driver’s licence
  • Great verbal communications skills and good at speaking with farmers
  • Be organised, responsible and able to work productively without supervision
  • Motivated and have a great attitude
