About the Role
As a Facilities Support Assistant, you will work across a number of University sites managed by Facilities Management.
You will report to the Facilities and Services Manager, and be responsible for carrying out daily safety checks, event and room set ups, some cleaning duties and fault finding at a basic level on IT/AV equipment, amongst other daily duties.
About You
To be successful in this varied and interesting role, you will need to be someone who strives for excellence and enjoys providing high quality customer service, whilst also ensuring what you deliver is completed in a safe way.
You will have great communication skills, be confident in the ability to communicate to members of the public, students and academic staff with courtesy and politeness.
You will also have a positive attitude with a flexible and adaptable approach to your work, and be comfortable when priorities suddenly need to change.
The role will involve some manual handling, however, training will be provided. You also should be IT literate and be comfortable learning and utilising new software as required.
The basic week is 36.5 hours with the hours of work being 9:30 to 1730 Monday to Friday.
