An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the council’s Facilities Management Services team as a Facilities Services Assistant. Working as part of a busy multi-tasking team, you will play a key role in providing a consistent and high-quality service to our internal and external customers.

In addition to providing administrative support to an increasingly agile workforce, you will also support with the provision of ‘soft’ facilities services including reception services, meeting room and workspace management.



You will have experience of working in an administrative and general financial environment, have a flexible approach to work and an ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Good planning, organisational and prioritising skills are therefore essential, as well as good numerical and keyboard skills, and the ability to use a range of software packages to deliver financial and administrative support including raising orders, payment of invoices, imprest (petty cash) administration, typing, word-processing, audio-transcription, stationery and supplies, ordering of IT equipment, travel bookings and mail services.

The right candidate will have excellent customer care skills, the ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities, and an ability to adapt positively to changes in working procedures and the adoption of digital technologies.
