OVERALL PURPOSE

The FM role plays a pivotal part ensuring that consistent high standards across all disciplines are always delivered to the Grosvenor shopping centre.

You will work with all occupiers and cultivate a positive relationship with our Client and Occupiers maximising the potential of the Estate.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Overall responsibility for the delivery of the Cleaning and Security, together with the co-ordination of environmental, health and safety and emergency / disaster planning policies and procedures.
• Fully integrate into the Centre team and wider community.
• Liaise with local BID Team, Local Authority and Police where required.

• Leading, coaching and developing the site-based team.

• Lead the team in managing absence and holiday records including sickness and annual leave for all site staff

• Ensure we maintain a “one team” approach with the centre management team

• Ensuring that sufficient internal / external training is always provided and remains current.

• Oversite of the management of statutory compliance for all areas of responsibility.

• P & L responsibility including experience with margin improvement plans and ensuring the hours are delivered.

• Ability to give feedback on performance in relation to tasks undertaken, as well as at progress and performance reviews.

• Ensuring all KPI’s are met and managed.

• Drive service delivery and quality improvements across the contract.

• Ensure that all aspects of Health and Safety are managed, and the correct documentation is in place.

• Own and assist in a variety of projects required by our client and the business.

• Ensure all project work is completed within the required timescales.

• Responsible for the management of the delivery of sub contracted services.

• All items of expenditure are to be either agreed or approved by the client in a fully transparent way.

• Willingness to liaise with our onsite M&E Engineer to assist where appropriate and necessary

• Assist and liaise with Client/Consultants on major projects.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

1. SIA Door Supervisors Licence holder (Front Line). The candidate must have held this licence.

2. SIA Public Space Surveillance Licence (Front Line) with experience of managing a busy Control Room, Data handling and Data release subject to GDPR.

3. Experience managing Security and Cleaning Teams (5 Years Minimum) Experience must be in a Shopping Centre, Retail Park or Portfolio Management environment.

4. Previous experience in customer facing roles is required.

5. The candidate must have a firm understanding of KPI’s/SLAs with experience of holding KPI meetings with the Client.

6. Must be a strong leader with a proven track record of developing team members.

7. Experience in leading a team to deliver exceptional Customer Service.

8. Experience in effectively dealing with Major Incidents in public spaces and creating major incident management processes and plans.

9. Must have experience in finding innovative solutions to drive standards and efficiencies across Security and Cleaning.

10. Have knowledge and experience relating to Life safety systems in a Shopping Centre environment. (Fire detection, suppression, and Smoke Extraction systems) with an understanding of cause and effect.

11. Previous soft services management experience on a Landmark Scheme and/or account management experience across a portfolio.
